Blood tests show our body's nutritional status. Blood testing is an ideal way to monitor your overall health so that you can optimize it by identifying any nutrient deficiencies or inefficiencies. This allows you to catch any issues before signs and symptoms occur (e.g., iron deficiency anemia).
In conventional medicine, many doctors do not run routine blood work unless asked for by the patient. And if they do, they are tests that capture only the minimum for a snapshot of your health.
Each client is required to have a minimum amount of labs in order to receive any nutritional programming. If desired or deemed as necessary, more comprehensive labs can be ordered. Lab work includes a thorough analysis of the data and plan for any needed corrections of deficiencies or needed for optimization.
Benefits of Functional Labs
Thorough & Comprehensive: these biomarkers are more thorough than what is typically tested for in a doctor’s office.
Preventative Screening
More Sensitive Ranges: functional ranges for biomarkers are different from lab norms, which are typical (statistical) reference ranges that are in the context of “pathological” ranges.

This list includes some of the categories and examples of associated biomarkers that can be tested.
Depending on the client’s needs, a more comprehensive list of biomarkers is used to address those needs.
These tests can be completed in the comfort of your own home and mailed to the lab for testing.
